I was under the impression that the text encoding description byte was the first byte in the frame data, which would mean that it's not directly after the frame size (as stated in the line above). It would be more accurate to say that the text encoding description byte is directly after the frame header. http://www.id3.org/id3v2.3.0 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... For pointing out what I'm embarrased to see is the glaringly obvious! It hurts even more to know that I've spent time on that page previously, with the answer right under my very nose! It's a good job I've never been afraid to ask stupid questions! Seriously though. I'm in awe of how dedicated you guys are and how well developed and supported ID3 is by you all. It's just a shame that so few developers and manufacturers seem to be exploiting and supporting the standard to its potential. Some of the properties of ID3 are awesome and offer so much opportunity to do so much more. Hopefully, once I've got to grips with things, I'll be able to do my bit to do just that. I'm sure I'll be back again at some point, but hopefully, with something a little more taxing. :D Thanks again. There is a list of descriptions here (http://www.id3.org/Frames?highlight=(frames), but it doesn't say which frames they belong to. I'd like to know: a) Is this ALL the native frames? Are there any more? b) A list of all frames, along with their description, and an indication as to whether they are V1.1, V2.3, v2.4 I've spent ages trying to find out, but I'm getting conflicting results. I'd really appreciate some help. Thanks _________________________________________________________________ 25GB of FREE Online Storage ?
