Well there are some things I can do, I could check more than two mpeg 
frames to reduce the chances of a match, and I expect there is something 
else
I could do to invalidate the specific FF FE combination but I havent 
found it (yet). I appreciate what you are saying but if only a few 
program overestimate the length of the ID3tag then that is enough
to make this method unsafe. I would much rather overwrite tag data than 
mp3 data, but of course i dont want to overwrite anything.
